The Direct Debit Guarantee

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits.

If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit Lawshield UK Ltd will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request Lawshield UK Ltd to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request.

If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by Lawshield UK Ltd or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society.

If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when Lawshield UK Ltd asks you to.

You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.

When it comes to renewing Audi Extended Warranty, we'll contact you in advance of your renewal date. If you've not heard from us when you were expecting to, you can contact us.

You can renew your cover in just five easy steps. Just enter your details into our online journey (visit the ‘Get Cover Now’ section on this page) and receive a new quote based on your current circumstances. You will only be able to get a quote and activate your new policy when there is less than 30 days left on your current warranty or if your current warranty has expired.

With an Audi Extended Warranty, you’ll get 12 months’ cover against the costs of repairing or replacing mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle that have suffered sudden and unexpected failure during the period of cover. There are two levels of cover you can choose from: Named Component Cover and All Component Cover.

  • All Component Cover is our most comprehensive level of insurance. It pays for the cost of repairing or replacing the factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle, should they suffer sudden and unexpected failure. In addition, we will pay for the costs of consequential failure of covered component(s). 
  • Named Component Cover pays for the costs of repairing or replacing named factory-fitted mechanical and electrical components of your vehicle (as listed in the Cover Booklet), should they suffer sudden and unexpected failure. 

The maximum we will pay per claim is the market value of your vehicle at the time of the sudden failure (including VAT). All claims are subject to the terms and conditions that can be found in your Cover Booklet.

If Audi Extended Warranty cover does not meet your requirements or should you decide to cancel it for any reason within a period of 14 days, you can obtain a full refund of the premium paid without charge, subject to no claims having been paid.

The 14 day period begins on the day you receive your copy of the Cover Booklet and Confirmation of Cover. After the 14 day period, you can cancel your cover and be entitled to a pro-rata refund subject to no claim being paid under the policy, less an administration fee of £25.

Every brand new Audi comes with a standard two-year unlimited-mileage manufacturer warranty. In the UK, this is enhanced to a three-year manufacturer warranty (with a 60,000-mile limit in the third year). It’s also possible to upgrade to a four or five-year manufacturer warranty, covering a whole range of mechanical and electrical components for even longer. If you buy an Approved Used Audi, you will receive a minimum 12 months’ warranty*. If you are unsure how long you have left on your existing warranty, please contact us.

*Valid for vehicles up to 8 years old and up to 100,000 miles at point of activation.

To be eligible to benefit from this cover, you must confirm the following statements are correct:

  • You don't live in the Isle of Man or the Channel Isles
  • You are not in the motor trade or deal with the buying, selling or repairing of motor vehicles
  • Your vehicle must not be used for hire or reward, public services (e.g. emergency services), professional instruction, competition or off-road use, motor rally, speed or duration tests or any practice for these events
  • Your vehicle has not done more than 100,000 miles
  • Your vehicle was not manufactured by anyone other than Audi
  • Your vehicle is not a kit car, grey import or powered by fuel cell(s) or LPG
  • Your vehicle has not been modified from the manufacturers' specification (manufacturer fitted optional extras are not classed as being a modification)
  • You must make sure your vehicle is serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's schedule

Yes, Audi Extended Warranty will cover you in continental Europe, including popular locations such as France and Italy. However, some terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. To understand exactly where in continental Europe we provide cover, please consult your cover booklet.

The maximum we will pay per claim is the market value of your vehicle at the time of the sudden failure (including VAT).

Every Audi that leaves the factory comes with a standard two-year unlimited-mileage warranty. In the UK, this is enhanced to a three-year warranty (with a 60,000-mile limit in the third year).  When your Audi was first ordered, there was also the option to extend this into a fourth or fifth year, which may or may not apply to you. If you have an approved used warranty, you should have received an email with a confirmation of cover. This document should show the start and end of your Audi’s warranty.

If you’ve bought a Audi Extended Warranty with us, you should have received a welcome email with a confirmation of cover attached. This document should show the start and end of your Audi’s warranty. In addition, we will email you when your warranty is due to expire. If you have any further questions or concerns, you can get in touch.

If a mechanical or electronic component in your car fails suddenly and unexpectedly, you can visit a Audi Centre and have a diagnostic check completed. A diagnostic scanner will be connected to your Audi to complete a digital analysis of your car’s various computer systems and components. Any fault codes that appear will indicate to our Audi Trained Technicians which related components should be investigated first.

Once the check is completed, and if the fault is determined to be covered by Audi Extended Warranty, the Audi Centre can submit a claim on your behalf.

If a component fails due to wear and tear, we will not cover the costs of repair or replacement. It’s really important you understand exactly what is and isn’t covered, so take a look at the Cover Booklet for full information.

Audi Extended Warranty cannot be transferred from one vehicle to another since both the policy and price are tailored to your vehicle’s make and model.

Extended Warranty cannot be transferred from one person to another since the policy options you selected relate to how you drive your Audi. If you are selling your car, you’ll need to cancel your policy and they’ll have to setup their own cover.

If no claims have been paid out on your policy

If no claims have been paid out on your policy and you decide to cancel within the first 14 days, you can obtain a full refund of your premium. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive your copy of the Cover Booklet and Confirmation of Cover. If you cancel after the first 14 days, you can cancel your cover and be entitled to a pro-rata refund (less an administration fee of £25).

If a claim has been paid out on your policy

If a claim has been paid out and you decide to cancel within the first 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund and the full 12-month premium will be payable to us. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive your copy of the Cover Booklet and Confirmation of Cover. If you cancel after the first 14 days, you will not be entitled to a refund and the full 12-month premium - in addition to an administration fee of £25 - will be payable to us.
